Join the cast: company auditions
Come and Audition for Stage Centre Productions!
We are holding open auditions on Saturday, March 23, 2019 between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at Fairview Library Theatre. Stage Centre Productions is a repertory theatre company that stages five productions each season at Fairview Library Theatre.
We are looking for male and female actors of all ages to join the company in our 43rd Season. Please send an email in advance to email@example.com in order to book an audition. We will provide you with a timeslot, background information, a list of our productions for next season and directions to the Fairview Library Theatre.
You will need to prepare two monologues of a contrasting nature (memorized) and bring with you an up-to-date résumé with contact information together with an 8 x 10 head shot. The latter does not have to be a professional photo, but a fairly recent picture helps the Artistic Director to remember who you are! Photos and résumés will be kept on file for future reference.
We will require children between the ages of six and thirteen in one of our productions next season so children are most welcome to audition. You need to prepare one monologue (it can be as simple as a nursery rhyme) and bring a recent photo with you.
Join the crew: volunteer to work behind the scenes
If you have a love of theatre, why not become a company member to help put on a show? We are always looking for help in all areas of production and company development. Ideal opportunities exist to join our talented production team in stage management, props design and costume and set construction.
Do you have the “gift-of-the-gab”? Do you excel at finding creative ways to reach an audience? Join our Audience Development committee and help us in our efforts to bring outstanding live theatre to the community.
Do you have a knack for convincing people to support worthy causes? We could use your expertise to reach out to potential patrons and sponsors.
Costumers, carpenters, painters and prop makers
Are you handy with tools? A wizard with a paintbrush? Skilled at the sewing machine? Join our core team of volunteer artisans who – five times a year – turn wood, paint and fabric into the sets and costumes that make our shows come alive.
Do you have a passion for history? Fascinated by the rich evolution of the theatre? Do you enjoy learning new things? Put your internet savvy to use and help us compile information about our audience, our productions and the glorious history of live theatre.
If you have talents in these areas and are looking for an opportunity to work with talented and passionate people committed to offering the classics of live theatre (or know someone who does) we would love to hear from you!
